Organisations across the country are becoming more and more aware of environmental issues linked to climate change and the risks these pose to their business, and almost half of UK companies now have a structured plan to reduce their carbon footprint and climate impact.

Rising energy costs, customer expectations, supplier issues and new legislation are all additional reasons to put sustainability at the top of the agenda and mitigate climate impact with clear net zero strategies.

Businesses in Greater Manchester can benefit from fully-funded advice and support from our specialist Sustainability and Net Zero Consultants. Whether you want to reduce your energy consumption to cut costs or learn how to make your operations more eco-friendly, our team of experts are here to help, bringing tailored business advice and decades of industry experience to you.

What’s our process?

We offer a range of sustainability and net zero services, such as detailed on-site resource efficiency reviews to assess your building and operations and identify opportunities to make cost and carbon savings. Areas we can investigate include: lighting, heating and cooling, compressed air, motors and machinery, refrigeration, thermal processes, waste and recycling, fuel and fleet, and renewable energy.

Following our site review, we will provide you with a recommendations report detailing all the opportunities we have identified, the potential cost and carbon savings, and the next steps required to achieve these.

Our specialist Carbon and Sustainability Consultants can help you to calculate and understand your business’ carbon footprint, including those tricky scope 3 emissions! We can support your business to set a net zero target and help you develop an action plan to deliver these goals.

It is a common misconception that ‘going green’ requires huge amounts of investment in new technology. Most of the opportunities we identify are low or no cost yet can still deliver significant savings to the business. Many of the opportunities that do require investment pay back very quickly.

For those projects that do require capital investment, we have a small amount of grant funding available for eligible projects. Our Energy Efficiency Grant is available for a limited time on a first-come-first-served basis and can go towards, for example:

  • Heating equipment upgrades
  • Replacement motors or drives
  • Process efficiency investments

The maximum grant value is £5,000 (excluding VAT) and is a 50% match funding offer. For further information, please see our web page.

If you are interested in speaking to one of our specialist Sustainability and Net Zero Consultants, please get in touch by emailing info@greeneconomy.co.uk and one of our team will give you a call.
